What I'm most looking forward to this summer.

Summer is nearly upon us. In fact, it might as well be for most of us. Except our poor friends in Calgary who are still getting snow. (I can't help but laugh just a little bit!) And summer means a lot of things. First among them, though, is fresh fruits and vegetables!
I love fresh fruits and veggies, especially when you get to pick them yourself from local farms and process them yourself, either by freezing or canning them for the winter ahead (because Summer means Winter isn't too far behind!). Berry picking in June and July, fresh corn and apples in the late summer, fresh asparagus in the spring, and a million billion more that I can't think of right now.
Also, another great thing about summer: Camping. I already have a camping trip scheduled for the May long weekend (the weekend after this, technically, eep!) . I hope to have many more. Camping is an excellent way to completely detach and unwind from the more pervasive aspects of civilization (computers, television, phones, etc.) and really connect a bit more with your own circadian rhythm, etc.
Finally, what I'm most excited about? Just the fact that it's summer. February is a long and bleak month, and when you finally hit summer, February's cold, callous grip has finally released your soul. It's a good feeling.
