Spoilers: Grey's Anatomy Season Finale
THIS POST MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS. AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU HAVE NOT YET SEEN THE SEASON SIX FINALE OF GREY'S ANATOMY.
With that unpleasentness out of the way, last night was the 2 hour season finale of Grey's Anatomy, and I have to say, it was explosive.
I kept thinking to myself yesterday, that this was what I loved about Grey's Anatomy. The tension, the drama, the tears, it was all there, and the characters were out in full force. I know season 4 was a bit let down for a lot of people, and season 5 was barely there, but they really pulled it out of the weeds for Season 6, and this finale was no different than the rest.
Of course, as the trailers have suggested, there is a shooter at Seattle Grace Mercy West, and he's on a rampage. The identity of the shooter was a hot topic in the household, however, our initial guesses prove to be correct. If you've been following the show at all for the past season, you should easily guess who that is.
Anyway, I can't say I'm particularly disappointed with the first character's death. It was short, brief and quite frankly, welcome, as I disliked that particular character. There is one death in the series that really hti home harder than I thought it would, especially given this particular character's prominence in the show, but the whole series of sequences from gunshot to death is particularly poignant.
Anyway, I must admit that I teared up at least 4 times during the episode, but that's not necessarily an accomplishment, given how quickly I tend to tear up anyway. But still, it was an amazing episode, and I really feel that the show has hit its stride, especially now that Katherine Heigl is off the show (THANK GOD, I HATED IZZIE SO MUCH).
Now I'm waiting eagerly for Season 7, which was announced to have been picked up quite recently.
