Gleeful about Glee (Episode 116)
I'm a huge glee fan, as is my hubby, and my current roommate (who happens to be my cousin). We watch it rather religiously, and it's a bit of an event. And by event, I mean curled up on the couch with blankets and snacks, and occasionally snacks (Penny loves Glee, Alistair? Not so much).
Anyway, watching today's episode kind of hit a bit close to home, especially watching Kurt and Finn's interactions. I remember falling head-over-heels for a football jock back in high school, and naturally, it didn't end well. I ended up hurting his feelings by asking around if he was into guys, and when I finally confessed my undying love for him via the written word, he did me the favour of ripping me a new one, also via the written word. Sometimes I feel like that wound never completely healed, but I've certainly moved on since then.
Anyway, watching Finn and Kurt really brought all of that back. I really can't relate to the whole Kurt's father and Finn jealousy issues, but the pining for someone so hard that you change everything just to be closer to that person? I totally get that. Totally.
Anyway, I'm glad the show's producers have decided to focus a little less heavily on Rachel and more on some of the other characters. This bodes well for what is a great show.
After all, "I think my cat's been reading my diary." LOL!
